A surgical procedure for friction, irritation, hygiene difficulties or asymmetry caused by noticeable excess tissue of the inner labia.
Clitoral Hood Reduction
A procedure that reduces excess skin folds of the clitoral hood while preserving the nerve supply.
Vaginoplasty
An operation that tightens a vaginal canal loosened by childbirth and aging by repairing the underlying supporting tissues.
Perinoplasty

Note: Symptoms such as a bulge you can feel in the vagina, a feeling of pressure or difficulty passing urine may be signs of pelvic organ prolapse. In that case, a detailed gynecological assessment is needed before any aesthetic procedure.

What to know before genital aesthetic surgery
Genital aesthetic procedures are personal decisions. When deciding, it is important to understand the limits, risks and recovery process as well as the possible benefits.
Good to know
- The appearance of the genital area varies across a wide range, and most of these differences are normal.
- The effect on sexual life depends on many physical and psychological factors; no definite result can be promised.
- Over-reduction or over-tightening can cause problems such as pain, dryness and sensitivity.
- Later vaginal births, aging and menopause can affect the results.
- The decision should be made of your own free will, not under pressure from others.

What is genital aesthetics?
Genital aesthetics is the general term for surgical and non-surgical procedures addressing structural or appearance-related concerns of the external genital area, the vaginal opening and the vaginal canal. Labiaplasty, clitoral hood reduction (hoodoplasty), vaginoplasty, perinoplasty and hymenoplasty are the main procedures in this field.
How do I know which procedure is right for me?
The suitable procedure depends on your concerns, the examination findings and your expectations. Because similar symptoms can come from different areas, an examination by an obstetrician and gynecologist is recommended rather than deciding based on information found online.
Can more than one genital aesthetic procedure be done at the same time?
In suitable cases, some procedures can be planned in the same session. For example, labiaplasty with clitoral hood reduction, or vaginoplasty with perinoplasty, are often considered together. Because combining procedures can affect recovery time and risks, the decision is made after the examination.
When can I have intercourse after a genital aesthetic procedure?
It depends on the procedure; avoiding intercourse for four to eight weeks is generally recommended. We decide the exact period together at a follow-up visit, based on your healing.
Do genital aesthetic procedures affect childbirth?
Procedures on the external genital area generally do not prevent a vaginal birth. Repairs of the vaginal canal and perineum, however, can be affected by later vaginal births, so they are usually recommended once you have completed your family.
Is genital aesthetics possible with laser?
The scientific evidence on the long-term effectiveness and safety of vaginal laser and radiofrequency treatments for genital aesthetics and vaginal laxity is still limited. These treatments do not replace surgical repair, and we discuss in detail whether it suits you.
